Disse Duryodhana: “Ó rei, apoiando-se em seus membros — formados pelos cinco grandes elementos — este universo inteiro, o mundo do móvel e do imóvel, permanece estabelecido e resplandece em forma maravilhosa.”
दुर्योधन उवाच
The verse presents a cosmological devotion: the entire moving and unmoving universe is sustained by the divine body, conceived as constituted of the five great elements. It frames the world’s stability and beauty as dependent on the deity, encouraging reverence and humility before a cosmic order larger than human conflict.
In Karṇa Parva, Duryodhana speaks in praise of Lord Śiva’s wondrous manifestation, describing how the cosmos rests upon Śiva’s elemental limbs. The statement heightens the sense of divine presence amid the war narrative, portraying Śiva as the ground of all existence.
