Karna Reproves Shalya; Brahmin Reports on Bāhlīkas; Shalya’s Universalizing Rebuttal (कर्ण–शल्य संवादः)
एवं कृते कृतं साहां सर्वकामैर्भविष्यति
evaṃ kṛte kṛtaṃ sāhaṃ sarvakāmair bhaviṣyati | bhārata! tadāhaṃ saṅgrāme yat kiṃcid kariṣyāmi, tat tvaṃ svayaṃ drakṣyasi | yuddhasthale āgatān samastān pāṇḍavān niścayaṃ sarvathā jayiṣyāmi ||
Karna disse: “Se isto for feito, então serei plenamente amparado de acordo com todos os meus desígnios. Ó Bhārata, o que eu fizer então na batalha, tu o verás com teus próprios olhos. No campo de guerra, certamente vencerei, de todas as maneiras, todos os Pāṇḍavas que vierem enfrentar-me.”
