संजय उवाच हतप्रहतविध्वस्ता विवर्मायुधवाहना: । दीनस्वरा दूयमाना मानिन: शत्रुनिर्जिता:
sañjaya uvāca hataprahata-vidhvastā vivarmāyudha-vāhanāḥ | dīnasvarā dūyamānā māninaḥ śatrunirjitāḥ ||
Disse Sañjaya: Abatidos, golpeados e despedaçados—despojados de armaduras, armas e montarias—aqueles guerreiros outrora orgulhosos, agora com vozes débeis e o peito ardendo de angústia, ficaram vencidos pelo inimigo.
