अयं तु सदृश: शौरे: शल्य: समितिशोभन: । सारथ्यं यदि मे कुर्याद् ध्रुवस्ते विजयो भवेत्,अवश्य ही ये युद्धमें शोभा पानेवाले राजा शल्य श्रीकृष्णके समान हैं, यदि ये मेरे सारथिका कार्य कर सकें तो तुम्हारी विजय निश्चित है
ayaṃ tu sadṛśaḥ śaureḥ śalyaḥ samitiśobhanaḥ | sārathyaṃ yadi me kuryād dhruvas te vijayo bhavet ||
Karna disse: “Este Shalya —esplêndido no choque dos exércitos— é comparável a Śauri (Kṛṣṇa). Se ele assumisse o papel de meu cocheiro, então a vossa vitória estaria assegurada.”
