Renewal of the Karṇa–Arjuna Engagement at Day’s End
दिवाकरकरप्रख्यानड्डश्नचिक्षेप तोमरान् । नकुलाय शतान्यष्टौ त्रिचैकैक॑ तु सो5च्छिनत्,अंगराजने नकुलपर सूर्यकिरणोंके समान तेजस्वी आठ सौ तोमर चलाये; परंतु नकुलने उनमेंसे प्रत्येकके तीन-तीन टुकड़े कर डाले
divākarakaraprakhyān aḍḍaśan cikṣepa tomarān | nakulāya śatāny aṣṭau tricaikaikaṃ tu so 'cchinat ||
Disse Sañjaya: Karṇa, o rei de Aṅga, arremessou contra Nakula oitocentas lanças tomara, ardentes como os raios do sol. Contudo, Nakula cortou cada lança em três partes.
संजय उवाच

Karṇa launches a massive volley of eight hundred spears at Nakula. Nakula responds with superior precision, cutting each incoming spear into three parts, neutralizing the attack.
