द्रोणपर्व — द्विनवति-तमोऽध्यायः

भूर्दिशश्वान्तरिक्षं च शब्देनासीत् समावृतम् । स मुहूर्त प्रतिभयो दारुण: समपद्यत
bhūr diśaś cāntarikṣaṃ ca śabdenāsīt samāvṛtam | sa muhūrta-pratibhayo dāruṇaḥ samapadyata |
Sañjaya disse: A terra, as direções e o céu intermediário ficaram envoltos por um bramido estrondoso. Por um breve instante, a cena tornou-se aterradora—áspera e terrível—avolumada pelos sons da guerra: os sinos nos elefantes, os toques de concha, o estalo das cordas dos arcos e o trombetear dos grandes elefantes. Então, Duhśāsana tornou-se, por um momento, extremamente temível e cruel.
