The verse highlights disciplined adherence to rightful command in a dharmic conflict: Sātyaki promptly accepts Arjuna’s instruction and prioritizes the protection/coordination around King Yudhiṣṭhira, showing that valor is guided by duty and strategic responsibility rather than personal impulse.
After Arjuna addresses him, Sātyaki responds “tathā” (“so be it”) and immediately departs to the location where King Yudhiṣṭhira is, indicating a swift movement to support or safeguard the king amid the battle situation in Droṇa Parva.
