नारायणास्त्र-शमनं द्रौणि-प्रहारश्च

रजसा तमसा व्याप्ता द्योतिता: प्रभया पुन: । धूल और अन्धकारसे व्याप्त आकाश, पृथ्वी, दिशा और विदिशाएँ प्रदीपोंकी प्रभासे पुनः प्रकाशित हो उठी थीं
rajasā tamasā vyāptā dyotitāḥ prabhayā punaḥ |
Disse Sañjaya: A vastidão que fora engolfada por poeira e trevas voltou a ser iluminada por um fulgor, de modo que o céu, a terra, todas as direções e os quadrantes intermediários pareciam resplandecer como à luz de lâmpadas. Em meio à confusão da guerra, esta imagem ressalta como a clareza pode retornar, ainda que por breve instante, após uma obscuridade esmagadora.
