महत्या सेनया सार्ध ततो युद्धमवर्तत । इसी प्रकार आपके पुत्रोंने भी विशाल सेनाके साथ आकर द्विजश्रेष्ठ कृपाचार्यको अपने बीचमें कर लिया। फिर दोनों दलोंमें घोर युद्ध होने लगा
mahatyā senayā sārdha tato yuddham avartata |
Disse Sañjaya: Então, com um vasto exército reunido, a batalha foi posta em movimento. Do mesmo modo, teus filhos, chegando com sua grande hoste, colocaram em seu meio Kṛpācārya, o melhor entre os duas-vezes-nascidos; e depois ergueu-se um combate terrível entre as duas forças.
