Bhagadattā’s Deployment Against Ghaṭotkaca; Elephant-Corps Escalation

धनु: प्रपीड्य वामेन करेणामित्रकर्शन: । शिरक्षिच्छेद समरे शरेणानतपर्वणा

dhanuḥ prapīḍya vāmena kareṇāmitrakarśanaḥ | śiraś ciccheda samare śareṇānataparvaṇā ||

Sañjaya disse: Premindo firmemente o arco com a mão esquerda, o subjugador de inimigos, no auge da batalha, decepou a cabeça do adversário com uma flecha de juntas retas—ato que revela a precisão implacável e as consequências irreversíveis da guerra quando o dever marcial é cumprido sem hesitação.
