पादौ तव धरा देवी दिशो बाहू दिवं शिर: । मूर्तिस्ते5हं सुरा: कायश्नन्द्रादित्यौ च चक्षुषी,पृथ्वीदेवी आपके चरण हैं, दिशाएँ बाहु हैं और द्युलोक मस्तक है। मैं ब्रह्मा आपका शरीर, देवता अंग-प्रत्यंग और चन्द्रमा तथा सूर्य नेत्र हैं
pādau tava dharā devī diśo bāhū divaṁ śiraḥ | mūrtis te ’haṁ surāḥ kāyaś candrādityau ca cakṣuṣī ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Ó Senhor, a deusa Terra é os Teus pés; as direções são os Teus braços; e o céu é a Tua cabeça. Eu sou a Tua forma encarnada; os deuses são os Teus membros e articulações; e a Lua e o Sol são os Teus dois olhos.”
