तस्य तं॑ निनदं श्रुत्वा दृष्टवा नागांश्व युध्यत:
tasya taṁ ninadaṁ śrutvā dṛṣṭvā nāgāṁś ca yudhyataḥ
Disse Sañjaya: Ao ouvir aquele bramido trovejante e ver os elefantes travados em combate, o campo de batalha irrompeu com renovada intensidade—um presságio sombrio do ímpeto crescente da guerra e da resolução inflexível dos guerreiros.
