ननाद बलवतन्नादं भगदत्त: प्रतापवान् | उन सब महारथियोंको भयभीत और भीमसेनको मूर्च्छित हुआ देख प्रतापी भगदत्तने बड़े जोरसे सिंहनाद किया ।। ५३ है ।। ततो घटोत्कचो राजन प्रेक्ष्य भीम॑ तथागतम्
nanāda balavattan nādaṃ bhagadattaḥ pratāpavān | tato ghaṭotkaco rājan prekṣya bhīmaṃ tathāgatam ||
Disse Sañjaya: O valente Bhagadatta soltou um brado poderoso, como o rugido de um leão. Vendo aqueles grandes guerreiros de carro tomados pelo medo e Bhīmasena caído em desmaio, Bhagadatta rugiu com toda a força. Então, ó rei, Ghaṭotkaca, ao ver Bhīma naquele estado, moveu-se para responder—sua atenção atraída pelo perigo do seu parente em meio à pressão do combate.
