ते चेदिपाउ्चालकरूषमत्स्या: पार्थाश्च सर्वे सहिता: प्रणेदु: । जयप्रगल्भा: पुरुषप्रवीरा: संत्रासयन्त: कुरुवीरयोधान्
te cedipāñcālakaruṣamatsyāḥ pārthāś ca sarve sahitāḥ praṇeduḥ | jayapragalbhāḥ puruṣapravīrāḥ saṃtrāsayantaḥ kuruvīrayodhān ||
Sañjaya disse: Então os Cedis, os Pāñcālas, os Karūṣas e os Matsyas—e todos os filhos de Pṛthā reunidos—ergueram um brado poderoso. Ousados na certeza da vitória, aqueles homens eminentes infundiram temor nos guerreiros heroicos do exército Kuru, proclamando com seu clamor uníssono tanto a determinação quanto o peso moral de sua causa, à medida que o ímpeto da batalha crescia.
