भीमसेनस्य गदायुद्ध-प्रभावः

तानि नागसहस्राणि भूमिपालशतानि च । तस्य बाणपथं प्राप्य नाभ्यवर्तन्त सर्वश:

tāni nāgasahasrāṇi bhūmipālaśatāni ca | tasya bāṇapathaṁ prāpya nābhyavartanta sarvaśaḥ ||

Disse Sañjaya: Aqueles milhares de elefantes e centenas de reis, ao entrarem no alcance de suas flechas, não puderam recuar de modo algum, por lado nenhum.
