Devotion (bhakti) is presented as the direct means to truly know the Supreme as He really is (tattvataḥ). Such true knowledge is not merely conceptual; it culminates in ‘entering’ the Divine—i.e., attaining liberation and intimate union with the Supreme.
In the midst of the Kurukṣetra setting, the teaching emphasizes an inner path: the devotee’s loving commitment leads to authentic realization of the Lord’s nature, and that realization immediately bears the fruit of spiritual consummation—entry into the Divine—transcending the surrounding conflict.
