सिद्धि प्राप्तो यथा ब्रह्म तथा55प्रोति निबोध मे । समासेनैव कौन्तेय निष्ठा ज्ञानस्य या परा,जो कि ज्ञानयोगकी परा निष्ठा है, उस नैष्कर्म्य-सिद्धिकोः जिस प्रकारसे प्राप्त होकर मनुष्य ब्रह्मको प्राप्त होता है,£ उस प्रकारको हे दुन्तीपुत्र! तू संक्षेपमें ही मुझसे समझ
arjuna uvāca | siddhiṁ prāpto yathā brahma tathāpnoti nibodha me | samāsenaiva kaunteya niṣṭhā jñānasya yā parā ||
«Ensina-me com clareza como, tendo alcançado a perfeição, uma pessoa chega a Brahman. Ó filho de Kuntī, explica-me em breve essa suprema firmeza no conhecimento—o mais alto coroamento do caminho da sabedoria—pela qual se alcança o estado além da ação e se chega a Brahman.»
अजुन उवाच
Arjuna asks for a concise explanation of the highest steadfastness in knowledge (jñāna-niṣṭhā) by which one attains spiritual perfection (siddhi) and thereby reaches Brahman—implying liberation through inner realization rather than mere external action.
In the midst of the Kurukṣetra setting, Arjuna turns to his teacher and requests a brief, practical account of the culminating discipline of wisdom: how a perfected person transcends binding action and attains Brahman.
