अर्जुनके प्रति भगवान्का विराट्रूप-प्रदर्शन किरीटिनं गदिनं चक्रिणं च तेजोराशिं सर्वतो दीप्तिमन्तम् । पश्यामि व्वां दुर्निरीक्ष्यं+ समन्ताद् दीप्तानलार्कद्युतिमप्रमेयम्ः,आपको मैं मुकुट्युक्त, गदायुक्त और चक्रयुक्त तथा सब ओरसे प्रकाशमान तेजके पुंज, प्रजजलित अग्नि और सूर्यके सदृश ज्योतियुक्त, कठिनतासे देखे जानेयोग्य और सब ओरसे अप्रमेयस्वरूप देखता हूँ
kirīṭinaṃ gadinaṃ cakriṇaṃ ca tejorāśiṃ sarvato dīptimantam | paśyāmi tvāṃ durnirīkṣyaṃ samantād dīptānalārkadyutim aprameyam ||
Arjuna disse: Contemplo-Te como uma massa radiante de esplendor — coroado, empunhando a maça e o disco — brilhando em todas as direções. De todos os lados és difícil de fitar, ardendo com o fulgor do fogo e do sol, imensurável na Tua forma. Nesta visão, o conflito moral de Arjuna no campo de batalha transforma-se em assombro reverente: a escala terrível da guerra é enquadrada pela soberania ilimitada do Divino.
