Karma-Yoga, Jñāna-Yajña, and Avatāra Instruction

सम्बन्ध-- आत्मतत्त्व अत्यन्त दुर्बोध होनेके कारण उसे समझानेके लिये भगवान्‌ने उपर्युक्त शलोकोद्वारा भिन्न-भिन्न प्रकारसे उसके स्वरूपका वर्णन किया: अब अगले शलोकमें उस आत्मतत्त्वके दर्शन

āścaryavat paśyati kaścid enam āścaryavad vadati tathaiva cānyaḥ | āścaryavac cainam anyaḥ śṛṇoti śrutvāpy enaṁ veda na caiva kaścit ||

Disse Sañjaya: Entre os homens, alguma grande alma, raríssima, contempla este Si mesmo como uma maravilha; outra, igualmente rara, fala dele como de uma maravilha; e outra ainda, rara de novo, ouve a seu respeito como uma maravilha. Mas, mesmo após ouvir, muitos não o conhecem de fato — tão sutil e difícil de apreender é a realidade do Si mesmo.
