Even in war, action is framed by dharma: the heroes act in an ordered, disciplined manner, publicly declaring readiness and unity. The conch-sounding functions as a moral and psychological proclamationcourage joined to responsibility rather than chaos or private aggression.
Sanjaya lists prominent P01470dava-side warriors and reports that they sound their conches in different directions, signaling the formal commencement of battle and rallying their forces.
