मध्येन कुरुसैन्यानां द्रावयामास वाहिनीम्‌ । उस समय सेनाके अग्रभागमें खड़े हुए धनुर्धर अर्जुनने कौरव-सेनाके भीतर प्रवेश करके आपके सैनिकोंको खदेड़ना आरम्भ किया

Transliteration

madhyena kurusainyānāṃ drāvayāmāsa vāhinīm |

Translation

Disse Sañjaya: Arjuna, o arqueiro postado na vanguarda, forçou passagem para dentro do exército Kaurava e começou a fazer recuar as tuas tropas, abrindo um corte pelo próprio meio das formações dos Kuru. O verso ressalta o ímpeto da resolução justa na batalha: a perícia disciplinada, dirigida a um dever escolhido, pode dispersar até um exército vasto.
