Shloka 107
तस्मात् प्राणान् धारयिष्ये मुमूर्षुरुदगायने । यश्न दत्तो वरो महां पित्रा तेन महात्मना
tasmāt prāṇān dhārayiṣye mumūrṣur udagāyane | yasya datto varo mahān pitrā tena mahātmanā ||
Por isso, embora eu anseie partir, sustentarei minha vida até que o Sol tome o seu curso para o norte (uttarāyaṇa). Que se cumpra a grande dádiva concedida a mim por meu nobre pai: que eu encontre a morte somente quando eu mesmo a escolher. Até que chegue o tempo determinado de abandonar a vida, certamente retarei estes alentos dentro de mim.
