गमिष्यामि स्वकं स्थानमासीद्‌ू यन्मे पुरातनम्‌ | उदगायन आदित्ये हंसा: सत्यं ब्रवीमि व:

gamiṣyāmi svakaṁ sthānam āsīd yad me purātanam | udagāyane āditye haṁsāḥ satyaṁ bravīmi vaḥ ||

“Ó Haṁsas! Somente quando o Sol tiver voltado ao seu curso para o norte (uttarāyaṇa) partirei para a minha própria morada — o antigo posto que há muito é meu. Digo-vos isto em verdade.”
