Bhīṣma–Karṇa Saṃvāda on the Śaraśayyā (भीष्म–कर्ण संवादः शरशय्यायाम्)

विव्यधुर्निशितैर्बाणै रुक्मपुड्खैरजिद्दागै: । इसी प्रकार अन्य शूरवीर महारथियोंने भीमसेन और अर्जुनको सुवर्णपंखयुक्त, सीधे जानेवाले पैने बाणोंद्वारा बींध डाला

vivyadhur niśitair bāṇai rukmapuḍkhair ajiddāgaiḥ |

Disse Sañjaya: Traspassaram Bhīmasena e Arjuna com flechas agudas—hastes de voo reto, guarnecidas de penas douradas. Assim, no furor da batalha, até os grandes guerreiros enfrentam a mesma força implacável das armas, e o valor é provado pela resistência e pelo domínio de si em meio à violência.
