भीष्मस्य अप्रतिमपराक्रमः — शिखण्डिपुरस्कृतः प्रहारः
Bhīṣma’s unmatched momentum and the assault with Śikhaṇḍin in the lead
यथाशक्ति यथोत्साहं तन्मे निगदत: शृणु । इस प्रकार एकत्र हुए पाण्डव महारथियोंपर आपके पुत्रोंने भी जिस प्रकार अपनी शक्ति और उत्साहके अनुसार आक्रमण किया, वह सब बताता हूँ, सुनिये ।। चित्रसेनो महाराज चेकितानं समभ्ययात्

yathāśakti yathotsāhaṃ tan me nigadataḥ śṛṇu |
citraseno mahārāja cekitānaṃ samabhyayāt |
Sañjaya disse: “Ouve enquanto eu o relato. Segundo a força e o ardor de cada um, teus filhos lançaram o ataque contra os grandes guerreiros de carro dos Pāṇḍavas reunidos. Nesse encontro, ó Rei, Citrasena avançou contra Cekitāna.”
