dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | kathaṁ śikhaṇḍī gāṅgeyam abhyavartata saṁyuge | pāṇḍavāṁś ca kathaṁ bhīṣmas tan mamācakṣva sañjaya ||
Dhṛtarāṣṭra disse: “Dize-me, Sañjaya: como avançou Śikhaṇḍī contra Bhīṣma, filho do Ganges, no auge da batalha? E como, por sua vez, Bhīṣma pressionou seu ataque contra os Pāṇḍavas? Descreve-me tudo.”
