भीमसेनस्य बहुमहारथसंयुगः
Bhīmasena’s Engagement with Multiple Mahārathas
तथैवान्ये महीपाला नानादेशसमागता: । पाण्डवानभ्यवर्तन्त विविधायुधपाणय:,इसी प्रकार विभिन्न देशोंसे आये हुए अन्य भूपाल भी हाथोंमें नाना प्रकारके अस्त्र-शस्त्र लिये पाण्डवोंपर आक्रमण करने लगे
tathaivānye mahīpālā nānādeśasamāgatāḥ | pāṇḍavān abhyavartanta vividhāyudhapāṇayaḥ ||
Sanjaya disse: Do mesmo modo, outros reis também—reunidos de muitas regiões—avançaram contra os Pāṇḍavas, com as mãos portando uma variedade de armas. Assim, o conflito se alarga para além de uma única rivalidade e torna-se uma guerra de muitas terras, na qual os governantes, movidos por alianças, ambição e dever conforme o entendem, se lançam à violência que põe à prova o dharma no campo de batalha.
