ततस्ते समयं चक्र: कुरुपाण्डवसोमका:
tataste samayaṃ cakruḥ kurupāṇḍavasomakāḥ
Então os Kurus, os Pāṇḍavas e os Somakas firmaram entre si um acordo—estabelecendo os termos designados e o entendimento pelo qual o conflito iminente se desenrolaria, mostrando que mesmo na guerra há convenções reconhecidas e decisões coletivas.
