अश्वमेधावसानम् — Dakṣiṇā-vibhāga and Avabhṛtha

Completion of the Aśvamedha

तस्माद्‌ यज्ञफलैस्तुल्यं न किंचिदिह दृश्यते । इति मे वर्तते बुद्धिस्तथा चैतदसंशयम्‌,अत: यज्ञफलकी समानता करनेवाला कोई कर्म यहाँ मुझे नहीं दिखायी देता है। यज्ञके सम्बन्धमें मेरा तो ऐसा ही विचार है और नि:संदेह यही ठीक है

tasmād yajñaphalais tulyaṃ na kiñcid iha dṛśyate | iti me vartate buddhis tathā caitad asaṃśayam ||

Janamejaya disse: “Portanto, não vejo neste mundo nada que se iguale aos frutos do sacrifício. Tal é o meu entendimento já firmado — e disso não há dúvida.”
