Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)
यदर्थ मां प्राहिणोत् त्वत्सकाशं बृहस्पतिं परिदातुं मरुत्ते । अयं गुरुर्याजयतां नृप त्वां मर्त्य सन््तममरं त्वां करोतु
yadarthaṁ māṁ prāhiṇot tvatsakāśaṁ bṛhaspatiṁ paridātuṁ marutte | ayaṁ gurur yājayatāṁ nṛpa tvāṁ martya san tam amaraṁ tvāṁ karotu ||
Agni disse: “O Marutta, ouve o propósito pelo qual fui enviado a ti. Ele deseja, por meu intermédio, colocar Bṛhaspati diante de ti. Declarou: ‘Este é o teu guru; que ele oficie o teu sacrifício, ó rei. Embora sejas um homem mortal, que ele te faça alcançar o estado dos imortais.’”
