तत्र वेदविदो राजंश्नक्रु: कर्माणि याजका: । परिक्रमन्त: सर्वज्ञा विधिवत् साधुशिक्षितम्
tatra vedavido rājanś cakruḥ karmāṇi yājakāḥ | parikramantaḥ sarvajñā vidhivat sādhu-śikṣitam ||
Ali, ó Rei, os sacerdotes oficiantes—versados nos Vedas e hábeis em todo o procedimento—fizeram com que os ritos fossem realizados por completo. Movendo-se por todos os lados, esses ritualistas oniscientes executavam e supervisionavam os atos sacrificiais exatamente segundo a regra, conforme ensinava a tradição virtuosa e bem treinada.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse emphasizes dharma as correct practice: sacred acts should be performed by qualified Veda-knowers, following established rules (vidhi) and the training transmitted by virtuous teachers, so that power and kingship remain anchored in disciplined, ethical tradition.
Vaiśampāyana describes the sacrificial setting where expert priests oversee and execute the prescribed rites. They move around the ritual ground, ensuring every action is completed properly and in full accordance with Vedic procedure.
