Educational Q&A

Even in displays of royal power such as the Aśvamedha, dharma requires restraint, protection of what is sacred, and disciplined guardianship—authority is legitimized by responsible conduct rather than mere force.

The Aśvamedha horse of King Yudhiṣṭhira, guarded by Vṛṣṇi heroes, completes this stage of its journey and arrives at Dvārakā, indicating the rite’s progress and the cooperation of allied clans.
