Ulūpī–Citravāhinī Saṃvāda: Dhanaṃjaya-patana and Prāya-threat
मणिपूरेश्वरं त्वेवमुपयातं धनंजय: । नाभ्यनन्दत् स मेधावी क्षत्रधर्ममनुस्मरन्,मणिपुर-नरेशको इस प्रकार आया देख परम बुद्धिमान् धनंजयने क्षत्रिय-धर्मका आश्रय लेकर उसका आदर नहीं किया
maṇipūreśvaraṃ tv evam upayātaṃ dhanaṃjayaḥ | nābhyānandat sa medhāvī kṣatradharmam anusmaran |
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Quando o senhor de Maṇipura assim se apresentou, Dhanaṃjaya (Arjuna)—sábio e atento ao dharma dos kṣatriyas—não o acolheu com honras. Lembrando o dever do guerreiro, conteve a cortesia e tratou o encontro segundo a justa conduta marcial, e não como deferência pessoal.
