प्राग्ज्योतिषे वज्रदत्त-धनंजय-समागमः
Vajradatta Confronts Dhanaṃjaya at Prāgjyotiṣa
तदनादृत्य ते सर्वे शरैरभ्यहनंस्तदा । तमोरजोभ्यां संछन्नांस्तान् किरीटी न्यवारयत्
tad anādṛtya te sarve śarair abhyahanams tadā | tamorajo-bhyāṁ saṁchannāṁs tān kirīṭī nyavārayat ||
Mas todos eles desprezaram seu conselho e então o atingiram com saraivadas de flechas. Aqueles Trigartas, com a mente toldada pela escuridão e pela paixão (tamas e rajas), foram contidos por Kirīṭī (Arjuna), que se esforçou por detê-los da luta—buscando refrear sua agressão temerária, e não apenas revidar na mesma medida.
