Abhimanyu’s Śrāddha; Vyāsa’s Assurance of the Unborn Heir (अभिमन्योः श्राद्धं तथा गर्भरक्षणोपदेशः)
वैराटि नेह संतापस्त्वया कार्यों हानिन्दिते | भर्तरें प्रति सुश्रोणि गर्भस्थं रक्ष वै शिशुम्,“अनिन्द्य गुणोंवाली विराटराजकुमारी! अब तुम्हें यहाँ पतिके लिये संताप नहीं करना चाहिये। सुन्दरि! तुम्हारे गर्भमें जो अभिमन्युका बालक है, उसकी रक्षा करो”
Vairāṭi neha santāpas tvayā kāryo hānindite | bhartāraṁ prati suśroṇi garbhasthaṁ rakṣa vai śiśum ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó princesa de Virāṭa, irrepreensível, não deves entregar-te ao luto aqui por causa de teu esposo. Ó dama de belas ancas, protege a criança em teu ventre — o infante que é de Abhimanyu.”
