Abhimanyu’s Śrāddha; Vyāsa’s Assurance of the Unborn Heir (अभिमन्योः श्राद्धं तथा गर्भरक्षणोपदेशः)
पर्यवार्यत संक्रुद्ध: स द्रोणादिभिराहवे । “अर्जुन संशप्तकोंके साथ युद्ध करते हुए संग्राम-भूमिसे बहुत दूर हट गये थे। इस अवसरसे लाभ उठाकर क्रोधमें भरे हुए द्रोणाचार्य आदि कई वीरोंने मिलकर उस बालकको चारों ओरसे घेर लिया
paryavāryata saṅkruddhaḥ sa droṇādibhir āhave |
Vaiśampāyana disse: Enfurecido, ele foi cercado no campo de batalha por Droṇa e outros guerreiros. Pois Arjuna, empenhado contra os Saṁsaptakas, afastara-se para longe do teatro do combate; aproveitando esse momento, Droṇācārya e vários heróis, cheios de ira, uniram-se para encurralar o rapaz por todos os lados — mostrando como, na guerra, a oportunidade e a cólera podem eclipsar a contenção e a conduta justa.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
