न चान्यामपि पश्यामि गति गतिमतां वर । स्वर्गद्वारस्य गमने स्थाने चेह द्विजोत्तम
na cānyām api paśyāmi gatiṁ gatimatāṁ vara | svargadvārasya gamane sthāne ceha dvijottama ||
Saudāsa disse: “Ó melhor entre os duas-vezes-nascidos, o mais eminente entre os seres que se movem e vivem, não vejo para mim outro rumo—nem para alcançar felicidade permanecendo neste mundo, nem para chegar ao portal do céu no além.”
