Kṛṣṇasya Dvārakā-praveśaḥ — Krishna’s Return to Dvārakā and the Raivataka Festival
यथा तयो रक्षणं च मदयन्त्याभिभाषितम् । तथा ते कुण्डले बद्ध्वा तदा कृष्णाजिनेडनयत्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | yathā tayo rakṣaṇaṃ ca madayantyābhibhāṣitam | tathā te kuṇḍale baddhvā tadā kṛṣṇājinena nayat |
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Conforme Madayantī havia instruído o modo de salvaguardar aqueles ornamentos, assim eles ataram o par de kuṇḍalas e os levaram envoltos numa pele de antílope negro.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights fidelity to prescribed guidance and careful stewardship of entrusted valuables—an ethical emphasis on responsibility (rakṣaṇa) and adherence to proper procedure.
Following Madayantī’s instructions for safeguarding the pair of kuṇḍalas, they are tied up and transported wrapped in a black antelope-skin, indicating deliberate protection during conveyance.
