इमे हि दिव्ये मणिकुण्डले मे देवाश्न यक्षाश्व महर्षयश्न । तैस्तैरुपायैरपहर्तुकामा- श्छिद्रेषु नित्यं परितर्कयन्ति,'मेरे ये दोनों मणिमय कुण्डल दिव्य हैं। देवता, यक्ष और महर्षि लोग नाना प्रकारके उपायोंद्वारा इसे चुरा ले जानेकी इच्छा रखते हैं और इसके लिये सदा छिठ्र ढूँढ़ते रहते हैं

Transliteration

ime hi divye maṇikuṇḍale me devāś ca yakṣāś ca maharṣayaś ca | tais tair upāyair apahartukāmāś chidreṣu nityaṁ paritarkayanti ||

Translation

Disse Vaiśaṃpāyana: “Estes dois brincos meus, cravejados de joias, são verdadeiramente divinos. Devas, Yakṣas e grandes ṛṣis, desejosos de levá-los, concebem estratagema após estratagema, sempre à espreita de alguma falha ou abertura por onde possam tomá-los.”
