उत्तडुक उवाच भवद्गतेन मनसा भवत्प्रियचिकीर्षया । भवद्धक्तिगतेनेह भवद्धावानुगेन च

Transliteration

uttaḍuka uvāca: bhavad-gatena manasā bhavat-priya-cikīrṣayā | bhavad-bhakti-gateneha bhavad-dhāvānugena ca ||

Translation

Uttaḍuka disse: “Ó venerável mestre! Com a mente fixa em ti, desejoso de fazer o que te agrada, e devotado somente a ti, permaneci aqui a teu serviço, seguindo-te com apego firme. Absorvido na minha devoção por ti, não busquei os prazeres do mundo, nem sequer percebi a chegada da velhice. Embora tenham passado cem anos desde que aqui vivo, ainda não me concedeste licença para voltar ao meu lar.”
