Adhyāya 51: Kṛṣṇa’s Leave-Taking and Departure for Dvārakā (द्वारकागमनानुमति)
वायुदेव उवाच इत्युक्त: स तदा शिष्यो गुरुणा धर्ममुत्तमम् । चकार सर्व कौन्तेय ततो मोक्षमवाप्तवान्
vāyudeva uvāca | ity uktaḥ sa tadā śiṣyo guruṇā dharmam uttamam | cakāra sarva kaunteya tato mokṣam avāptavān |
Vāyudeva disse: “Assim instruído por seu mestre, aquele discípulo então praticou plenamente o dharma supremo. Por isso, ó filho de Kuntī, alcançou a libertação — a liberdade do cativeiro da existência mundana.”
वायुदेव उवाच
Right instruction must be followed by complete practice: when the disciple fully performs the highest dharma taught by the guru, the fruit is mokṣa—release from saṃsāra’s bondage.
Vāyudeva concludes an exemplum addressed to Arjuna (Kaunteya): after the guru’s counsel, the disciple undertakes the prescribed supreme dharma in its entirety and, as a result, attains liberation.
