Adhyātma-Upadeśa
स्नेहात् सम्मोहमापन्नो नावि दाशो यथा तथा । ममत्वेनाभिभूत: संस्तत्रैव परिवर्तते
snehāt sammohaṁ āpanno nāvi dāśo yathā tathā | mamatvenābhibhūtaḥ saṁs tatraiva parivartate ||
Mas, por afeição, a pessoa cai na ilusão; como um barqueiro que permanece sentado em sua barca, fica a girar no mesmo lugar. Dominada pela possessividade—pelo sentido de “meu”—ela permanece presa ali, voltando-se repetidas vezes sem alcançar a outra margem.
