यः कश्षिदिह लोके5स्मिन्नागम: परिकीर्तित: । तस्यान्तगमन श्रेय: कीर्तिरेषा सनातनी,इस संसारमें जो कोई भी विधि-निषेधरूप शास्त्र कहा गया है, उसमें पारंगत विद्धान् होना गृहस्थ द्विजोंके लिये उत्तम बात है। इसीसे सनातन यशकी प्राप्ति होती है
yaḥ kaścid iha loke 'sminn āgamaḥ parikīrtitaḥ | tasyāntagamana-śreyaḥ kīrtir eṣā sanātanī ||
Vāyu disse: “Qualquer ensinamento autorizado (āgama) proclamado neste mundo—que estabelece o que deve ser feito e o que deve ser evitado—dominá-lo é um bem supremo para os gṛhastha, os duas-vezes-nascidos. De tal compreensão disciplinada nasce uma fama duradoura, tida por intemporal.”
