मरुत्तोपाख्यान-प्रस्तावः — Genealogy to Marutta and the Logistics of Royal Sacrifice
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत आश्वमेधिकपवके अन्तर्गत अश्वमेधपर्वमें संवर्त और मरुत्तका उपाख्यानविषयक तीसरा अध्याय पूरा हुआ
prasandher abhavat putraḥ kṣupa ity abhiviśrutaḥ | kṣupasya putra ikṣvākur mahīpālo 'bhavat prabhuḥ ||
Vyāsa disse: “De Prasandhi nasceu um filho, célebre pelo nome de Kṣupa. De Kṣupa nasceu Ikṣvāku, um rei poderoso e soberano.” Assim se recorda a linhagem para firmar a continuidade do rājadharma, o dever régio transmitido através das gerações.
