तस्य कारन्धम: पुत्रस्त्रेतायुगमुखेड भवत्‌ । इन्द्रादनवर: श्रीमान्‌ देवैरपि सुदुर्जय:

Transliteration

tasya kārandhamaḥ putras tretāyuga-mukhe 'bhavat | indrād anavaraḥ śrīmān devair api sudurjayaḥ ||

Translation

Vyāsa disse: No próprio alvorecer do Tretā-yuga, ele teve um filho chamado Kārandhama. Radiante e ilustre, esse filho não era em nada inferior a Indra; até mesmo os deuses teriam achado extremamente difícil derrotá-lo.
