Arjuna–Vāsudeva framed dialogue

तस्योपायं प्रवक्ष्यामि पुरस्तात्‌ तं निबोधत । फलमूलानिलभुजां मुनीनां वसतां वने

tasyopāyaṁ pravakṣyāmi purastāt taṁ nibodhata | phalamūlānilabhujāṁ munīnāṁ vasatāṁ vane ||

Vāyu disse: “Agora declararei de antemão o meio para alcançar isso (o conhecimento do Si); compreendei-o com atenção. Para os sábios que habitam na floresta, vivendo à maneira de ascetas—sustentados por frutos e raízes, e até pelo ar como alimento—esta é a disciplina que mantém o dharma do vānaprastha, o morador da floresta.”
