स जीव: प्रच्युत: कायात्‌ कर्मभि: स्वै: समावृत: । अभित: स्वै: शुभै: पुण्यै: पापैर्वाप्युपपद्यते,शरीरसे अलग होनेपर वह जीव अपने किये हुए शुभकार्य पुण्य अथवा अशुभ कार्य पापकर्मोद्वारा सब ओरसे घिरा रहता है

sa jīvaḥ pracyutaḥ kāyāt karmabhiḥ svaiḥ samāvṛtaḥ | abhitaḥ svaiḥ śubhaiḥ puṇyaiḥ pāpair vāpy upapadyate ||

Quando o ser vivente se separa do corpo, permanece envolto pelos seus próprios atos. De todos os lados o acompanham as consequências de suas ações—sejam méritos auspiciosos nascidos da virtude, sejam frutos de pecado nascidos do erro—e assim se determina a condição que alcançará depois.

Educational Q&A
