व्याधि-गुण-साम्योपदेशः | Discourse on Affliction, Guṇa-Equilibrium, and the Inner Battle

अपन क्रात बछ। अर: अं द्ादशो<ड् ध्याय: भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णका कक मनपर विजय करनेके आदेश वायुदेव उवाच द्विविधो जायते व्याधि: शारीरो मानसस्तथा । परस्परं तयोर्जन्म निर्दधन्द्धं नोपपद्यते,भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने कहा--कुन्तीनन्दन! दो प्रकारके रोग उत्पन्न होते हैं--एक शरीरिक दूसरा मानसिक। इन दोनोंका जन्म एक-दूसरेके सहयोगसे होता है। दोनोंके पारस्परिक सहयोगके बिना इनकी उत्पत्ति सम्भव नहीं है

vāyudeva uvāca | dvividho jāyate vyādhiḥ śārīro mānasas tathā | parasparaṃ tayor janma nirdahaddhaṃ nopapadyate ||

Vāyudeva disse: “A enfermidade surge de duas formas — corporal e mental. Cada uma nasce na dependência da outra; sem a sua interação mútua, não se pode explicar devidamente a sua origem.”
