इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत आश्रमवासिकपवके अन्तर्गत आश्रमवासपर्वमें धृतराष्रका निर्वेदविषयक तीसरा अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

gāndhārī ca mahābhāgā prājñā karuṇavedinī | putraśokaṃ mahārāja dhairyeṇodvahate bhṛśam ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó rei, a nobre Gāndhārī—sábia e profundamente sensível à compaixão—suporta a intensa dor por seus filhos com paciência firme.”
