धृतराष्ट्राश्रमगमनम् — The Pandavas’ Procession to Dhritarashtra’s Hermitage

भवितव्यमवश्यं तत्‌ सुरकार्यमनिन्दिते । अवतेरुस्तत: सर्वे देवभागा महीतलम्‌,सती-साध्वी देवि! यह देवताओंका कार्य था और इसी रूपमें अवश्य होनेवाला था; इसलिये सभी देवताओंके अंश इस पृथ्वीपर अवतीर्ण हुए थे

bhavitavyam avaśyaṃ tat surakāryam anindite | avatīrus tataḥ sarve devabhāgā mahītalam ||

Vyāsa disse: “Ó senhora irrepreensível, isso estava destinado a acontecer inevitavelmente, pois era uma obra a ser cumprida em favor dos deuses. Por isso, todas as porções divinas desceram à terra.”
